I love the band orchestration in his music and the UHS selections fit that bill. Although I liked Maxwell, I didn't have any of his projects until I purchased his 2009 release BlackSummer Nights and I wanted a compilation of his songs that fit that mold and the UHS compilation does that perfectly.
I was tremendously pleased. Since it was my all time favorite, I desperately made it my mission to replace it. It was a great deal. I was VERY happy and satisfied with my purchase. I will be making other purchases in the future.thank youroxanne I was very excited. Especially since I recently attended his concert in which he performed many of the songs. My original cassette was stolen.
I love it, I had to come back and add this to my collection after getting his latest cd Black Summer Nights. Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite is for the grownups. Smooth music to get your grove on, experience band that hangs on his every verse.
The first I heard it I repeated it for the next 15 minutes. I love this cd and i will be buying another one as a back-up , I will always have this music. I didn't know about this cd I had heard some of the songs , but when I heard track #9 "Reunion" I was pleasantly surprised. Maxwell is a true talent and we are blessed to have this man share his gift with us. I highly recommend this cd. OMG. what an awesome song.
I knew most of the songs on this album already but listening to the whole collection was a new experience. "Get to know you" is the first Maxwell song I ever heard on a radio show. Get it. Very good, a classic and one of my new favourites. With all the buzz about the new album I decided to listen to some of the earlier stuff. I am glad I did.
